The Yellowstone River - Big water, big eats, and big views. The Stone is the real deal—Montana’s longest free-flowing river with miles of classic western water. From foam lines to fast banks, it’s streamer and dry fly country at its finest.
- Nearby Towns: Livingston, Gardiner, Big Timber, Bozeman
- Includes: Drift boat, guide, all gear, flies, snacks, beverages, & lunch. (full days)
- Target Species: Brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout
- Fishing Style: Dry flies, nymphs, and streamers depending on season
- Best For: Beginners to experienced anglers; moderate casting helpful
- Trip Info: Private trip. Max 2 anglers per boat
- Additional Notes: Montana fishing license required.
- Season: Late June through early fall (best in July and August)
Deposit & Cancellation Policy
At Riverstone Outfitters, we understand the value of your time—and ours. Our policy helps ensure a fair shake for clients and guides alike, especially during a busy season with limited availability.
Booking & Deposits
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your trip. The remaining balance will automatically be charged 7 days before your scheduled trip date using the card on file.
Cancellations
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your trip, please give us as much notice as possible. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 30+ days before your trip: Your deposit will be refunded.
- 8–29 days before your trip: Your deposit is non-refundable. If we are able to rebook your guide, we’ll issue a refund.
- 7 days or less: The full trip cost is non-refundable.
Please note: All refunds are charged a $30 cancellation fee. Credit card processing fees are non-refundable, as these are retained by our payment processor.
Weather & Water Conditions
We fish in all kinds of weather—sun, wind, or rain—but if conditions are unsafe (extreme weather or unfishable water), your guide or Riverstone Outfitters will make the call. In that case, we’ll offer to reschedule your trip or refund it in full.
No Shows
No-shows will be charged in full. Please be on time—we want to make the most of your day on the water.
